National Nomad: Brooke Pearson
Us: BROOKE! Tell us about the first time you drew this design.
Brooke: The inspiration came after accepting an internship that enabled me to travel to twelve different states within a twenty month period! I wanted to create a way to uniquely commemorate all of my travels and the stories from each destination.
Us: That's awesome!!
Brooke: Yea! I just used a Siberian Snow BANGS Shoe as my canvas and painted an outline of a map of the United States of America. I began filling in states as I crossed their borders.
Us: If you had one piece of advice for other artists, what would it be?
Brooke: I think that the best ideas present themselves when we lower our expectations and stay open!
