I volunteered at an orphanage in Kasoa, Ghana.

Hey Fam! My name is Rachel Ehlinger, founder of Ekkos Apparel.

In the summer of 2014 I volunteered at an orphanage in Kasoa, Ghana teaching and providing childcare to the 46 children living there.

Through this experience, I learned that education isn't as accessible in most African countries like it is in the United States and other countries around the world.

Without the financial stability of parents, most children cannot attend school. At the young age of 14, many orphans are sent out onto the street to provide room for younger children who have been abandoned.

I created Ekkos Apparel to try and change that.

At just 200 USD a year, Ekkos can provide education to an orphaned child. We are currently sponsoring five children in Ghana that will begin high school in 2017.

Every single Ekkos product is handmade and one of a kind with no two products made exactly the same.

The fabric is sourced from different countries around the world and the products are made in my home town of Athens, Georgia. To view all of our products and make a life changing contribution to a child's life, visit ekkos.org
