INTRODUCING: Madison Scott

I’m Mads and I’m one of the newest writers for the BANGS Blog! (WOOT)

I’m super hype to be able to share some ideas with you guys and contribute to the BANGS community more! This is my first term as a Lead BA and with every passing day I’m more excited about the opportunity!

I live in the lovely town of West Chester, Pennsylvania (pictured below) and go to school in High Point, North Carolina.


I’ve enjoyed writing in my free time for as long as I can remember, and also really like to experiment with photography in unique places. Last year I wrote for The Odyssey, and I also had a personal blog for a while. Currently, I’m working on creating a new personal blog so I’ll be sure to share the link for that as soon as it’s up and ready to go!


In addition to that, some ways I like to spend my free time are listening to/finding new music, adventuring in the great outdoors, eating ice cream, and traveling.

This summer I’m going to Europe and taking my first solo trip to Ireland (ahhh!), and also going to the Grand Canyon, Bryce, and Zion National Parks which I’m super pumped for! A few fun facts about me:
  1. My favorite movies are Finding Nemo and anything scary or thrilling.
  2. I want to study abroad in Australia my senior year, partially because I’m dying to snorkel in the Great Barrier reef and play with baby kangaroos!
  3. Dolphins are my absolute favorite creatures in the world and I would love to one day make an impact in changing the way they are captured and treated.
  4. I recently changed my major from from elementary education to psychology because I’m fascinated by people and why they do what they do.
  5. If I had to live on three foods for the rest of my life, I would choose popcorn, peanut butter, and garlic bread.

When I came across BANGS this year I knew right away it was something I wanted to be a part of! I’m so excited to be here and to be involved in the crazy cool mission that Hannah has brought to life. Nothing brings me more joy than helping others and sharing adventure with people.

I’m really hoping to connect with a lot of new people through BANGS and find others who are passionate about the same things as me! If we have anything in common or you just want to chat, don’t hesitate to reach out to me!!
